Kerrville City Council unanimously approved deal points and a zoning change for the proposed Vintage Heights development just south of Riverhill. However, the deal is not completely finished. Council will need to authorize a formal development agreement on January 28, and will also have to approve a second reading of the zoning ordinance amendment that changes the property’s zone from R1 to R2.
Numerous residents spoke in favor of, or in opposition to, the planned 500-home development that abuts Riverhill subdivision in the city limits of Kerrville.
Tuesday night was another stop on a wild ride that began with the Planning & Zoning Commission meeting on December 5, was negotiated through the holidays, and culminated in the deal points released at the very last possible minute on Friday afternoon in time for the agenda packet.
Kerrville United will continue to closely follow this matter as it comes to a final decision on January 28.
