Court acknowledges error; pro-life resolution passes

Last week, Commissioners Court voted on a controversial pro-life resolution sponsored by the Kerr County Patriots. During that meeting, Commissioners Belew and Harris voted in favor of the resolution, Moser voted against, and Letz and Judge Kelly abstained. Following that vote, Judge Kelly announced that the motion failed. Since then, after studying the law on these matters, the court acknowledged that the motion actually did carry 2-1.

On Monday morning, Judge Kelly moved to rescind that order, but his motion failed 3-2. This time, Kelly and Moser voted in favor of the recension, but Belew, Harris, and Letz voted against. So the resolution stands.
