Get Registered to Vote by Thursday!

559

The voter registration deadline is Thursday, April 4 — that’s this week. You MUST be registered by April 4 to be able to participate in the May 4 elections. And if you’ve recently moved to Kerrville or moved inside the city limits, you’ll need to update your address to make sure you’re eligible to vote for City Council candidates.

It’s Easy

First, check and see if you’re already registered to vote:
https://teamrv-mvp.sos.texas.gov/MVP/mvp.do

Second, fill out a voter registration application:
https://webservices.sos.state.tx.us/vrapp/index.asp

You can fill this out online and then print it at home. If you don’t have a home printer, don’t bother with this. Skip this step and head down to the courthouse.

Third, head down to the Voter Registrar within the Kerr County Courthouse. The voter registration office is located next to the vehicle registration office (where you get your vehicle titles and/or license plates) — Suite 124. Give them your printed application or fill out a new one in their office.

That’s it! Registering to vote is really easy and only takes a few minutes out of your day, but it’s very important. If you have any questions or difficulty, please contact the Voter Registration office at 830-792-2242.
