On Monday, Kerrville’s Economic Improvement Corporation (EIC) approved a funding agreement between the EIC and the City of Kerrville to provide funds for several improvements to the jointly-owned Kerrville/Kerr County Airport (KERV), including site work for the eventual construction of three box hangers, and renovations to the airport’s “Horseshoe” building.
Both of these projects are being pursued to attract businesses to the airport site to increase economic activity in Kerrville.
The funding approved Monday night for the two projects totals $375,000.
According to a recent study commissioned by the Airport Board, the airport has a total economic impact of 680 jobs, $16.8 million in payrolls, and $38.3 million in economic output.
